Parents as Teachers Tot Trot
In order to give preschool and younger children the opportunity to be a part of the Turkey Trot, Parents as Teachers is sponsoring our Tot Trot. This is a free event, and registration is not necessary. This short run will take place on the track at 8:00 a.m. before the start of the 4-mile/1-mile races. Join Bruiser Bulldog and Titus Turkey and all your friends as you have fun running to the finish line. Ribbons will be given to all participants.
Parents as Teachers (PAT) is an early childhood Parent Education program for families of children pregnancy through Kindergarten entry. We are free to residents of the Kearney school district. We provide lessons and activities to help parents be their child’s first and most influential teacher. We also offer regular Group Connections and yearly screenings. Research shows that children in PAT programs score higher on standardized testing throughout the elementary years
